Summary:
We are looking for a competent, detail-oriented Insurance Specialist to join our insurance team.
Duties may include processing insurance claims, posting insurance payments and following up with insurance companies, as needed.
Our Insurance Specialist should exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness, should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as an ability to work independently.
Must be able to prioritize time, work efficiently and adapt well to continuous change.
Your contribution to the team includes:
Responsibilities:
Process and monitor insurance billing and follow up of claims for multiple locations Investigate historical data for unpaid insurance claims Resolve insurance processing issues Update account status records and collection efforts Report on insurance collection activity and accounts receivable status Requirements:
Must have's you will need to be successful:
Proven experience as an Insurance Collection Specialist or similar role Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques Working knowledge of MS Office and databases Comfortable working with targets Patience and ability to manage stress Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Skilled in negotiation Problem-solving skills High school diploma; Associate's/Bachelor's degree is a plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
